His daughter, Elizabeth Olynick, says Resin died Saturday of complications from Parkinson's disease.
Resin was a resident of Secaucus, N.J., for nearly 50 years before moving to Wayne four years ago.
As the Ty-D-Bol man, Resin wore a captain's uniform and sailed off in a motorboat across the sparkling blue waters of a toilet tank.
Resin was born Daniel Wrzesien (REHZ'-ihn) in South Bend, Ind., and studied at Indiana University.
He also had Broadway roles in "My Fair Lady" and "Once Upon a Mattress."
