Is Lois the corpse flower now a corpse?

HOUSTON The large stinky flower has collapsed. Employees with the Houston Museum of Natural Science say the collapse is normal.

The museum says the flower is not dead, it's part of the life cycle. The flower will be dormant for up to six months. Then the cycle will start all over again. Employees will examine Lois' tuber and replant her with the hope that she produces again.

Lois will remain on display this week. Thousands of people have lined up the last few days to get a glimpse of the rare flower.
