Minute Maid Park was briefly evacuated just an hour before Friday night's Astros game after the stadium's alarms went off. The emergency lights began flashing just after 6pm and a recorded voice ordered fans out of the stands and toward their nearest exit.

Officials with Minute Maid Park don't know what set off the alarms, but have told us a fire alarm malfunctioned.

Fans were allowed to return to their seats, and were greeted by a message on the jumbotron that read, "Ladies and gentlemen, we are sorry but an alarm has been sounded inside the ballpark. The Ballpark has been cleared for re-entry to all seating areas."

The Astros were scheduled to take on the Cincinnati Reds at 7:05pm CT.
