Detectives seek help in woman's murder

HOUSTON Lavenia Glover was last seen on July 7 walking with a man in the 3200 block of Newhoff Road near some abandoned houses, according to a Crime Stoppers statement. Shortly after, the same man was seen walking alone.

The next day, several people became concerned when they didn't see her in the area she normally hung out at and called police. Her body was discovered in one of the abandoned homes on Newhoff.

No one has been able to identify the man, but a nearby convenience store surveillance camera captured his picture.

Anyone with information regarding Glover's murder or the man's identity is asked to Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
