Body scanners are expected to be used at Bush Intercontinental Airport by next month. The controversial scanners will offer improved passenger screening to keep travelers safe from hidden weapons and liquid explosives. But many passengers have complained at other airports about violations of privacy and longer lines.

The first two pieces of radiation imaging equipment should be operating by August at Bush Intercontinental Airport and 18 should be in place by December.
