Police are talking with witnesses, trying to find out exactly what led to a deadly shooting west of downtown early this morning. Officers say around 2:30am, a fight broke out after the Plush night club on Dennis at Milam closed. That's when shots were fired and a man was hit in the arm. He was taken to Ben Taub Hospital.

Shortly after, more shots rang out towards a group of people in a parking lot on Smith near Drew.

"We don't know if the second shooting was intended, was motivated by the first incident, but we do know that there is one deceased male," said Sgt. David Gianna Vola with the Houston Police Department.

The deceased male has been identified as Oscar Salvador Fierro, 23, of Houston. The suspects have only been described as two Hispanic males driving a 1999 to 2005 white Ford F-150 crew cab with tinted windows.

Anyone with information is urged to call the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
