Gallery Furniture warehouse reopens after fire

HOUSTON The fire destroyed the warehouse and everything inside. Nearly 14 months later, the store, Mattress Mack and all his employees have something to celebrate.

Their newly rebuilt warehouse is now open for business. Since the fire, the 200 people who worked in the warehouse had to commute to a temporary facility in Sugar Land. Now they're all happy to be in Houston, closer to home.

"The employees love it; we have the world' most resilient employees," said Gallery Furniture owner Jim McIngvale. "They worked so hard for 13 months to get us back here. It's like them scoring a touchdown. They're happy to be home, be back in the warehouse they know and love and it's bigger and better than it ever was."

Mattress Mack says the reopening of the warehouse closes a painful chapter in the history of the company.
