A suspect has been charged in the shooting of a man during an argument on Saturday in west Houston. The incident happened in the 2500 block of Joel Wheaton about 9pm. Police say officers, responding to a reported shooting at the West Hollow Park Apartments, discovered the victim lying in the grass near the parking lot. The motive for the shooting appears to be an argument between two groups of people.

The victim, Sabinus Uche Okere, 23, suffered a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition.

Jerry Lewis Bynum, 46, charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
