Man shot in the face in South Houston

HOUSTON The shooting happened at the Oxford apartments around 5:30am Thursday at 10919 Gulf Freeway service road.

Authorities say officers responded to a report of a major accident on the Gulf Freeway service road. When officers arrived, the victim was found in the parking lot bleeding from his face and left ear. Houston Fire Department personnel transported him to the Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital, where it was found he had been shot in the ear.

The 34-year-old male victim of Highland, Texas, was transferred to Ben Taub General Hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Police say there is no motive or suspects.
