Driver flees after hitting go-kart, injures boy

HOUSTON The boy was pushing his go-kart in the 8900 block of Comal during the evening of May 27 when he saw a car coming toward him, according to a Crime Stoppers statement. The boy tried to get out of the way, but the driver of the car hit his go-kart, pushing it into the boy's leg and injuring him.

The driver initially stopped, got out of the car and told the boy he'd seek help but never returned.

The car is described as a champagne-colored, late 1990s or early 2000s Dodge Intrepid. The driver is described only as a black man in his 40's or 50's.
