Robbery suspect shot during fight with officer

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX Montgomery County Police Department officer Bobby Bodden was helping multiple law enforcement agencies find a robbery suspect Tuesday morning. Bodden spotted the suspect near Ben Smith Road and FM 1486, north of Magnolia and tried to stop the suspect. The man attacked Bodden, and they started to fight.

The suspect tried to take Bodden's duty gun, but the officer was able to hold onto it and shot the suspect possibly twice in the abdominal area.

Both Bodden and the suspect were transported via ambulance to a local Conroe hospital.

Bodden was treated for his injuries and released. The suspect's condition wasn't immediately disclosed.
