Man fatally shot after argument in Clear Lake

CLEAR LAKE, TX Investigators say a group of people stopped at a home off Richvale Sunday morning and there was an argument. According to Houston police, the suspect went to the residence to confront the victim and other witnesses about an earlier disturbance. The suspect entered the house and held the people inside at gunpoint and assaulted them with the gun.

The victim, 18, retrieved his own gun and confronted the suspect, shooting him one time. The suspect died at the scene. The shooter later provided a statement to investigators. Police say drugs may be involved.

The dead suspect is described as a 22-year-old man. His name hasn't been released.
