Wounded Houston military men get new homes

Two wounded warriors from the Houston area now have a new place to call home. U.S. Marine Corporal Donny Daugenbaugh and Army Sergeant Alexander Reyes both received new homes today in Friendswood. The homes were built by the groups Bay Area Builders Association Support Our Troops and Operation Finally Home.

Daugenbaugh was wounded in Iraq in 2004. He was shot in the face, and he's still recovering. Reyes was severely wounded by an IED in 2006. Both were touched by the show of support.

"It really truly is a blessing," said Reyes. "God had already blessed me with giving me a second opportunity to be here because a lot of guys don't make it back."

The wounded servicemen will be able to get to know each other. Their new homes are only about 100 yards apart.
