Resident shot during burglary attempt

HOUSTON The shooting happened at a home in the 4800 block of Redell Road around 7:45pm Tuesday, Harris County Sheriff's Office officials said. Four men wearing pink, blue and green bandanas broke into the home and held a couple at gunpoint before shooting a male resident in the abdomen. The suspects then took off.

The man was airlifted to the hospital by LifeFlight. He is expected to survive. The woman wasn't hurt.

Police say it is unclear exactly what the suspects wanted, but they are looking at the possibility that drugs were involved.
