Stars stress importance of CMA Fest

NASHVILLE, TN Many of the headline acts at this year's CMA Music Fest say the festival is especially important this year, since flooding May 1-2 caused over $2 billion in damage.

Carrie Underwood says flood relief is on everyone's mind, and that makes it even more important for the show to go on.

Underwood performed on CMA Fest's opening night Thursday at LP Field, along with Lady Antebellum, Tim McGraw, Alan Jackson, Jason Aldean and Danny Gokey.

The stadium was one of many structures that suffered extensive flood damage.

The festival runs through Sunday.
