Store employee robbed while working in Richmond

The suspect is described as a black female with a light complexion, approximately 5'7" to 5'9" tall, medium build, with black hair pulled back into a long ponytail, wearing eye glasses with decorative gemstones on them.

Richmond police are asking for help in identifying a woman who may be involved in a theft and forgery. On Thursday, May 13, between 1:00 and 2:30pm, the alleged suspect was in the Treasure Hunter's Gallery located at 302 Morton Street in Richmond. Police say an employee of the store noticed that after the woman left the store, the employee's wallet and checkbook were missing from her purse.

After leaving the store in Richmond, the alleged suspect went to a bank in Rosenberg and cashed a stolen, forged check using the employee's account. The suspect is described as a black female with a light complexion, approximately 5'7" to 5'9" tall, medium build, with black hair pulled back into a long ponytail, wearing eye glasses with decorative gemstones on them. A photo of the alleged suspect was retrieved from the bank.
