Police ask for public's help in man's murder 5 years ago
HOUSTON
On June 3, 2005 around 3am, police were called to a major accident in the 3700 block of Old Spanish Trail at LaSalette. Upon arrival, they discovered Henry "Sonny" Syptak slumped over the wheel of his 1994 dark blue Dodge Ram truck. Syptak had been shot in the left arm and then the bullet entered his chest. He was transported to Ben Taub Hospital where he died as a result of the gunshot wound.
After an investigation, it was discovered that Syptak was driving from an unknown location when he was shot. It is not known how long he drove before he came to the intersection of OST and LaSalette and hit a street sign.
