Katy-area teen approached by stranger

Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man who demanded a 14-year-old get into his car as he walked home from his Katy ISD school on May 13. Parents are being asked to remind their children about stranger danger after a boy was approached by a suspicious driver in the Katy area.

Fort Bend County detectives say a 14-year-old boy was walking home from school on Fry Road near Grand Parkway on May 13 when he was approached by a man in a Toyota Camry.

The driver demanded the boy get inside his vehicle, but the child ran home, officials said.

The suspect is described as a medium-build black man, around 35 years old and is clean shaven. He was driving a dark blue Camry, possibly a 2007 model with a spare tire mounted on the back left side.
