Viewing held for HPD officer killed in crash

HOUSTON Investigators say Eydelmen Mani, 30, was not wearing a seat belt while driving to help a fellow officer during a felony stop on Tuesday.

Police say he was going about 60 miles per hour when he slammed into a guardrail. He died at the hospital.

Officer Mani's visitation is Friday night from 6pm until 9pm at Klein Funeral Home on Champion Forest Drive.

His funeral mass is Saturday at noon at St. Charles Catholic Church on Tidwell. Burial will follow at Hollywood Cemetery.
