Reward increased in 1987 murder of Katy real estate agent

Ester Collins, 35, was a successful real estate agent in the Katy area who was murdered in 1987.

Authorities are seeking the public's assistance with any information on the cold case murder of a Katy woman nearly 23 years ago. Ester Collins, 35, was a successful real estate agent in the Katy area. At the time of her death, she was working as a saleswoman for a home builder building houses in the Cornerstone subdivision located off Highland Knolls and South Mason Road. Her office was located in one of the model homes in the 22300 block of Kent Falls.

On Friday, November 6, 1987 at around 4:30pm, Collins' body was discovered in one of the bedrooms inside the model home.
