Woman fatally shoots ex-husband after stabbing

HOUSTON The incident happened around 4:30pm Sunday in the 3400 block of Yupon. The man, 32, suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the suspect is pending notification to family members.

Police say the woman, 31, was stabbed multiple times by her ex-husband. The woman managed to retrieve her gun and fatally shot her ex-husband. She was then transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in stable condition.

The case will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
