Teacher who witnessed student beating resigns

HOUSTON Dr. David Jones, Principal of Jamie's House Charter School, said Monday after an investigation that Gabriel Hahn Moseley did witness the student beating and failed to either stop it or report it to the administration. Hahn was a social studies teacher who had been employed at the school since November 2009.

His resignation Monday came days after teacher Sheri Lynn Davis was fired by Jamie's House Charter School for the beating of a student caught on cell phone video.

Davis apologized for the incident last week, but says the student she attacked had been beating up a special needs student. She also says teachers have been assaulted by students in the past.
