Enjoy a free night at the movies every Saturday night at the Waterway Square in The Woodlands. Saturday night's feature is Academy Award winner and Disney Pixar animated film Up. The show starts at 8pm. The Saturday night movie series continues until June 12 and only includes family friendly movies. The Waterway Square is located next to The Woodlands Mall of the North Freeway.
If you want to ride in a steam engine built by local folks, head over to Hockely, Texas. On Saturday, the organization called HALS will have free rides for the public on their tracks from 9am until 3pm. All ages are welcome to ride these diesel engine trains. On Thursday nights on the Kemah Boardwalk, check out Rock the Dock summer concert series. Free concerts are presented by local and regional bands and are held on the plaza every Thursday from 6:30pm until 10:15pm next Thursday night. Eighties power rock with Vertigo will be performing!
With summer just around the corner, the Cancer Center at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital will be offering free skin cancer screenings Saturday from 10am until 1pm. Dermatologists will provide whole body skin cancer screenings. No appointments are necessary and patients will be seen on a first come, first serve basis. Cancer screenings will take place at St. Luke's Radiation Therapy and Cyberknife Centrer at 2491 S. Braeswood Boulevard.
