Shoppers had to evacuate a grocery store after a small fire broke out in a checkout lane. Firefighters say the motor of a conveyor belt burned out and caught fire last night at the Randall's on West Holcombe in southwest Houston.

Someone used a fire extinguisher to put out the flames, but smoke filled the store. The store is open for business today.
