Police seek information in hit-and-run accident

Authorities are seeking the public's help with any information on a hit-and-run accident that seriously injured a teenager. The incident occurred on the April 29 in the 11000 block of East FM 1960 at East Lake Houston Parkway around 10pm.

The 16-year-old victim was driving east bound on East FM 1960. He was stopped at the traffic light at East Lake Houston Parkway when he experienced car trouble. He got out and was attempting to direct people around his car when he was hit by a black truck that was also traveling east bound on E. FM 1960.

The driver of the truck did not stop and check on the condition of the victim nor did they leave any information at the scene. The victim suffered serious injuries but is recovering at home.

Witnesses were not able to get a license plate or a description of the driver. If anyone witnessed the accident and might have some information on the truck that fled the scene, Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for any information called in to the 713-222-8477 (TIPS) hotline or submitted online at Crime-Stoppers.org that leads to an arrest in this case.
