One arrested, two sought in murder in east Houston

An arrest has been made in the fatal shooting of a Chicago man at a home in east Houston. The suspect, Rosendo Diaz, 28, is charged with capital murder in the shooting of Andrew Stewart, 29, of Chicago, Illinois. Stewart suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene in the 7000 block of Tuck on April 11.

Police say Stewart was at the residence with Diaz and two other unknown suspects. Stewart and the suspects got into a struggle over a backpack which led to the suspects shooting Stewart and fleeing the scene with the backpack in a gray two-door vehicle, traveling east.

The two other unknown suspects are being sought for questioning in the case.
