New director named for Houston Airport System

Mayor Annise Parker announced a new director of the Houston Airport System, and he's an outsider. Mario Diaz was most recently second in command at the Hartsfield International Airport in Atlanta. Diaz has more than 20 years of experience in the transportation industry.

In hiring someone from the outside, the mayor says she is again hoping to inject some fresh energy in the airports. As she has promised with her METRO appointments, Parker says she's hoping Diaz will shake things up.
