When police arrived, they found that 23-year-old Gerald Allen Green Jr, and his father, 48-year-old Gerald Allen Green, Sr., had been shot. The younger Green was flown to UTMB Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival. The elder Green was taken to the hospital by ground. He is expected to recover.
There was no sign of forced entry into the home. Sgt. Goetchius says police don't have an obvious motive or suspects at this time. An investigation is underway.
