Enriquez Velasquez's father arrived at his house in the 1000 block of Adele to pick his son up for work on November 19, 2009. As he got to the car, an unknown man ran up to him and shot him. Enrique Velasquez was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other four suspects, Judist Broussard, Brian Ware, Donald Strong and Jonathan Siros, have been charged with capital murder.
