They also said that Polanski, who is under house arrest in Switzerland, has mounting debts and no way to earn a living while in custody.
Roman Polanski attorneys plead to end case
LOS ANGELES, CA
They made their latest plea in a response to arguments from
prosecutors who say Polanski must return from Europe to face
sentencing. The defense argued that the director should be
sentenced in absentia to time served and that a special prosecutor
should investigate what they say was judicial misconduct in his
case. The papers were filed Tuesday.
