Lunch, Harlem choir tour part of Free Stuff Friday

HOUSTON Here are two ways to enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend.

First, the world famous Harlem Gospel Choir will be performing at 8pm tonight at the Miller Outdoor Theater. If you don't already know, the Harlem Gospel Choir is a gathering of the finest singers and musicians from various churches in Harlem. They travel the globe to entertain and raise funds for children's charities.

If you'd rather watch a movie under the stars, head to Discovery Green tomorrow night. They are hosting the 1995 award winning film Apollo 13. The film was directed by Ron Howard and will be introduced by NASA personnel. The movie starts at 8pm.

If you want to get to know your city a little better, you now have a tour guide at your beck and call for free the next time you visit Houston's Theater District.

The city is now using an automated mobile phone program that gives downtown visitors information about some of the city's most recognized landmarks. All you have to do is call 800-dmi-tour or 800-364-8687 and follow the prompts. Visitors can hear the history behind popular destinations like the Wortham Center, Jones Hall, Buffalo Bayou Art Park and many more.

Sew Crafty in The Heights is hosting a free Easter egg decorating party! If you want to "bling" some Easter eggs, sip coffee and nibble cupcakes, then drop by next Wednesday between 6:30pm and 8pm. All crafting supplies will be provided just bring in your own Easter basket.
