Police looking for woman using stolen checks

HOUSTON The victim reported that her car had been broken into in New Caney, and her purse was stolen. It contained her wallet and checkbook inside.

Then on December 12, 2009 around 2:18pm, a woman entered the Walgreen's at 2240 North Park Drive in Kingwood and used one of the victim's checks to purchase beer and cigarettes. The woman was captured on surveillance cameras at Walgreen's using the stolen check.

An investigation determined the woman's first name might be 'Aleda.' She is a white female, approximately 35 to 45 years old. She is around five feet to five feet five inches tall, and weighs between 170 to 200 pounds. She has brown hair and was wearing it in a ponytail while shopping.
