A local mother tearfully asks for your help in finding the person accused of murdering her teenage son. Police say Selvin Omar Lopez shot and killed Joseph Vasquez on February 13 in northwest Houston. Eyewitnesses told police Lopez shot Vasquez and another person during an argument at the Brompton Court apartments.

Vasquez died but the other victim survived. The 16-year-old Vasquez left behind a baby girl.

"I beg if anybody knows anything about this man, please do the right thing for God's sake and turn him in," said Vasquez's mother Paula Garza. "Help me bring justice for myself, for my family, for my granddaughter."

Police ask anyone with information about the crime to call 713-222-TIPS or visit Crime-Stoppers.org. There is a cash reward.
