Big reward offered in violent armored car robbery

HOUSTON Several companies, along with Crime Stoppers, on Friday announced a $30,000 reward for information about Wednesday's armed robbery and shooting in southeast Houston. Two men robbed a guard as they made a drop off at a Kroger store at Telephone Road and Bellfort, then shot the guard three times.

"With any bank robbery or armored car robbery, we're very concerned," said Michael Bonner with the FBI. "In this case, we have a heightened level of concern because the violence that's been displayed by these individuals."
