Flight diverted to Salt Lake after bomb threat

SALT LAKE CITY, UT Salt Lake City International Airport spokeswoman Barbara Gann says a flight attendant found a threatening note Thursday and gave it to the pilot, who felt it was enough of a threat to divert United Flight 741. She did not have other details.

Gann says the passengers and crew disembarked and were taken to the international terminal. She says the FBI planned to interview passengers while trying to figure out the note's origin.

An airport official says 193 passengers and six crew were on the flight, which originated in Denver.

The FBI said the incident is under investigation but wouldn't release further details.
