Landmark restaurant destroyed by fire reopens today

HOUSTON After a year and half of renovations, it will reopen tonight. The Texas Creole restaurant has been around for 43 years.

"I really think it's the spirit, it's the memories that make the place. And what we're most excited about, what I'm most excited about, is that I really think we're poised to create great memories for our guests," said Alex Brennan-Martin of Brennan's of Houston.

Brennan's moved into its current location in 1967. The historic 1930 John Staub building was already a landmark in its own right and renovations have revealed architectural details that were lost for decades.
