A warning has been sent out to parents in Fort Bend ISD after a student was approached by stranger twice. According to Austin High School Principal Mike Leach, a ninth grade student at the school reported that she was approached by a man as she walked home in the Pheasant Creek subdivision on Tuesday and Wednesday of last week. She was not harmed, but her parents reported the incidents to the Fort Bend County Sheriff's office.

The man was described to be African-American, approximately 20-25 years old with short hair. He was driving a blue pickup truck, possibly a Ford F150.

Extra patrols have been assigned around the school and other schools in the area before and after school. A letter was sent home to parents of students at Austin High School, Garcia Middle School, Lakeview, Oyster Creek, Arizona Fleming and Cornerstone schools.

Anyone with information about this stranger or the vehicle is asked to contact the Fort Bend Sheriff's Office at 281-341-4665. If your child is confronted by a stranger, just call 911.
