Texting and driving may soon get you a ticket in Missouri City. Later today, city council members will make the final vote on an ordinance banning texting and emailing behind the wheel. If passed, the law would go into effect on June 1. Missouri City police say officers would have to see drivers texting before pulling them over. There's no word yet on the fine amount.

The bill would only ban texting. Drivers can still talk on their cell phones in their cars.
