Killer sought after fatal shooting at bar

HOUSTON The suspect is described only as a short Hispanic male, about 5 feet 4 inches tall, in his late teens to early 20s with a normal build.

One victim, Ronnie Javier Medina-Giron, 21, of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene. The other male victim, 24, was transported to an area hospital with a gunshot wound to the hand.

According to Houston police, Medina-Giron got into an argument with the suspect near a bar in the 700 block of West Mount Houston Road. Without provocation, the suspect produced a gun and fired a number of times, striking Medina-Giron in the chest. A second male was also wounded in the gunfire. The suspect then fled on foot.
