A man is in the hospital after slamming his SUV into a restaurant overnight. Police say the driver lost control in the curve at Lee Drive on West Main in Baytown around 9:30pm Tuesday. He went off the roadway, through a parking lot and into the side of the seafood restaurant.

The SUV driver was injured and taken to the hospital by Life Flight.

The Baytown Seafood restaurant has been hit by vehicles at least three times in the last year. In September, one person died when another vehicle slammed into the restaurant.

The owner, who didn't want to talk to us on camera, says he's building a new restaurant on the exact same piece of property and will be demolishing the existing building. He says he hopes that will put an end to people driving into his business because he believes a curve in the road that some drivers can't negotiate has been leading to the accidents.
