Arrests made in Sugar Land driveway robbery

SUGAR LAND, TX Sugar Land police arrested Kenneth Lavergne, 20, and Ross Ezeani, 20, both of Houston, for allegedly robbing the 60-year-old woman at her home in the 13,100 block of Brookside back on January 22. Surveillance cameras set up by the homeowners association in the Eldridge Lakes subdivision helped track down the vehicle, which police say was rented by a relative of Laverne.

Police say both Lavergne and Ezeani confessed to following the woman to her home and stealing her purse and cell phone at gunpoint as she was getting out of her vehicle. A gun used in the robbery were recovered in the apartment being rented by a relative of Lavergne.

Lavergne and Ezeani have both been charged with aggravated robbery and are currently in the Fort Bend County Jail with bonds set at $50,000 and $25,000, respectively.
