Mysterious dead body found in Fort Bend Co.

HOUSTON The discovery was made around 9am Sunday morning in the Sienna Plantations neighborhood off Steepbank Trace and Dell Park. Ft. Bend Co. Sheriff's Deputies responded to the 911 call and say they found a 42-year-old male who was lying on the ground. He was found in a cleared area near some power lines in the neighborhood.

Investigators told us there were no gunshot wounds and no obvious physical trauma. They do not yet know the cause of death.

Neighbors who saw what was going this morning were very concerned.

"Just being a concerned citizen around the neighborhood, I'd kind of like to know what's going on because we never have anything like that out here," said Robert Penson.

Another neighbor, Joel McClure, said, "I realize things like this can happen anywhere, anytime, but of course nobody wants this type of death in their neighborhood."

The Galveston County Medical Examiner has taken the body and will determine the cause of death. At this point, investigators do not know if foul play was involved.
