SPCA awarded custody of rescued animals
HOUSTON
The SPCA and the Alvin Police Department worked together to take the animals from a home in Alvin back on January 15.
The animals include about 80 dogs and some guinea pigs that are now in the process of receiving their medical evaluations from the Houston SPCA veterinary staff. The majority of the canines are dachshunds.
Starting today, some of the animals may be available for adoption. As these animals become available for adoption in the next few weeks, they can also be viewed online at houstonspca.org.
Anyone interested in adopting an animal from the Houston SPCA must become an approved adopter and may do so in person in the shelter's adoption lobby. The Houston SPCA is located at 900 Portway Drive.
