Information needed on escapee's co-conspirator

HOUSTON On November 30, Comeaux was being transferred from one TDCJ facility to another when he pulled out a gun he had concealed and overpowered two correctional officers. Comeaux fired his gun one time inside the van as a warning to the officers. He then convinced them to surrender their weapons. He took control of the van in Montgomery County and drove it to Baytown, Texas where he abandoned the van and fled on foot. He was captured on December 7, in northeast Houston and charged with two counts of aggravated Kidnapping and escape.

After an extensive investigation it has been determined that Comeaux possessed the firearm in prison prior to being transferred. Information is requested about the identification of the person or persons who provided the gun to him while he was in prison.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for any information called in to the 713-222-8477 tips hotline or submitted online at www.crime-stoppers.org that leads to the identification, arrest and/or charging of anyone who conspired with Comeaux in this case.
