Visit Houston's neighborhoods by bike in Tour de Houston

HOUSTON Mayor Annise Parker and State Senator Rodney Ellis announced plans for the sixth annual ride on March 21. An estimated 5,000 cyclists will pedal through Houston's historic districts and parks. You can sign up to ride 20, 40 or 70 miles.

"You don't have to be an elite athlete. You don't have to be someone who is out every weekend riding," Mayor Parker said. "You can be the casual rider and there are many opportunities to enjoy the day."

The start Location is City Hall, 901 Bagby. Registration is $25 for riders age 13 and older, $15 for riders 12 and younger. Online registration closes on March 17. You can register online, or get a form in order to register by mail and find more information at the city's website.
