Houston doctor delivers goods for Haiti

HOUSTON Dr. Scott Breeze and volunteers from his medical practice loaded his private plane at the Sugar Land regional airport Saturday morning. The goods, which included medical supplies, were taken to a warehouse in Baton Rouge and will be flown to Haiti next week.

Doctors say some of the most basic supplies will help.

"If somebody's got an obvious broken wrist, they can set a bone and put it in a splint," said Dr. Breeze. "A lot of times, that's all it takes."

The doctor didn't come home with an empty plane. He brought back two local doctors who spent the last week volunteering at clinics on the border of Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
