Officers shoot man while serving warrant

ATASCOCITA, TX The shooting happened just after 9pm Sunday at a home on Village Bridge. That's where Harris County deputies went to serve a warrant on that man for assaulting a public servant. But after another resident let police inside, the wanted man became hostile and approached the deputies with a gun in his hands.

"The deputies felt that their lives were in danger and fired multiple shots, injuring the suspect," said Janie Alvarez-Wagner with the Harris County Sheriff's Office. "The suspect was sent to the hospital."

The man was taken to the hospital in serious condition. He is expected to survive.
