Upon arriving, the deputies saw two men running towards them with guns. That's when one officer opened fire on the suspects.
"The deputy discharges his firearm around six times, and strikes one of the suspects in the upper thigh," reported Janie Alvarez-Wagner with the Harris County Sheriff's Office. "The suspect was transported via ambulance to the hospital."
The other suspect got away. Investigators recovered three weapons and a bag of marijuana on the wounded suspect. It's unknown whether or not he stole it during the robbery.
