Pediatrician gets 13 years in sex abuse case

HAMILTON, OH Scott Blankenburg, who's 54, also pleaded guilty Thursday to compelling prostitution, illegal use of a minor in a nudity-oriented material or performance, pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor and bribery and drug charges.

He agreed to the 13-year term in a plea deal with prosecutors. He did not plead guilty to sex crimes involving former patients.

Blankenburg's twin brother and fellow pediatrician, Mark Blankenburg, was sentenced last week to 21 to 27 years in prison for sex crimes involving former patients, money laundering and drug charges.

The doctors practiced for more than 20 years north of Cincinnati.
