Sheik Shoes employee Travanti Bruce, 20, of Katy, has been arrested and charged with aggravated robbery, and a warrant has been issued for Rafael Fabian Paiz, 21, of Houston.

The manager of Sheik Shoes and another employee were reportedly walking to their vehicles when they noticed a man in a gray hooded sweatshirt and black jeans talking on a cell phone near a tree. The two employees split up and headed toward their respective vehicles.

Police say the man in the hooded sweatshirt approached the manager from behind, and demanded money. A struggle ensued, the suspect produced a pistol and the two men fought for control of the weapon. As the second employee returned to assist his manager, one shot was fired from the pistol. The suspect then grabbed the night deposit and ran away. There were no injuries.
